Adobe Reader 9.3.3 Security Updates for OpenSolaris dev. b134

Windows、MacintoshおよびUNIX版 Adobe Reader 9.3.2（とそれ以前のバージョン）、Windows、Macintosh版 Acrobat 9.3.2（とそれ以前のバージョン）、Windows、Macintosh版 Adobe Reader 8.2.2 （とそれ以前のバージョン）、Acrobat 8.2.2 （とそれ以前のバージョン）にクリティカルな脆弱性が存在することが確認されました。セキュリティ情報APSA10-01で参照しているCVE-2010-1297 を含むこれらの脆弱性が悪用されることで、当該アプリケーションがクラッシュする、または潜在的に攻撃者が影響を受けたシステムを制御できる可能性があります。

製品の自動アップデート機能からもアップデートが可能です。初期設定では一定期間ごとに自動アップデートする設定になっていますが、ヘルプメニュー の「アップデートの有無をチェック」から手動でアップデートを確認することもできます。

1. ダウンロード： $HOME のダウンロードディレクトリに移動して、Solaris 対応版をダウンロードする。

  $ cd $HOME/src-pkg

  $ wget -c ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/unix/9.x/9.3.3/jpn/AdbeRdr9.3.3-1_i486solaris_jpn.bin

  $ ls -l ls -l AdbeRdr9.3.3-1_i486solaris_jpn.bin
  -rw-r--r-- 1 baian staff 56651352 2010-06-30 22:22 AdbeRdr9.3.3-1_i486solaris_jpn.bin

ダウンロードした bin ファイルに実行権限を付与する。

  $ chmod a+x AdbeRdr9.3.3-1_i486solaris_jpn.bin

  $ ls -l AdbeRdr9.3.3-1_i486solaris_jpn.bin

2. 既存 Adobe Reader 9.3.2 のアンインストール：

  $ pfexec /opt/Adobe/Reader9/bin/UNINSTALL

3. Adobe Reader 9.3.3 のインストール：

  $ pfexec ./AdbeRdr9.3.3-1_i486solaris_jpn.bin

  ファイルを展開しています。しばらくお待ちください。コンピュータの設定によっては、時間がかかる場合があります。

  このインストールには 183 MB の空きディスク容量が必要です。

  インストール先ディレクトリの指定 - Adobe Reader 9.3.3 [/opt]  /opt

  共通ファイルをインストールしています ... 完了
  プラットフォーム依存ファイルをインストールしています ... 完了
  ライブラリを設定しています...完了
  デスクトップおよびメニューアイコンを設定しています...完了
  ブラウザプラグインを設定しています...完了


  アプリケーション → オフィス に Adobe Reader 9 の起動用メニューが、
  デスクトップに起動用アイコンが自動生成される。

4. インストールディレクトリと Firefox 用ブラウザ・プラグインの確認。

  baian@saturn:~/src-pkg$ ls -l /opt/Adobe/Reader9/Browser/intelsolaris

  確かに、プラグインもアップデートされている。

5. Adobe Reader 9.3.3 の起動：

  GUI で：アプリケーション → オフィス → Adobe Reader 9 または、デスクトップの起動用アイコン から。
  CUI で： 端末を開いて コマンドラインで、 $ acroread &

Summary
Critical vulnerabilities have been identified in Adobe Reader 9.3.1 (and earlier versions) for Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX, Adobe Acrobat 9.3.1 (and earlier versions) for Windows and Macintosh, and Adobe Reader 8.2.1 (and earlier versions) and Adobe Acrobat 8.2.1 (and earlier versions) for Windows and Macintosh. These vulnerabilities could cause the application to crash and could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.
Adobe recommends users of Adobe Reader 9.3.1 and earlier versions for Windows, Macintosh and UNIX update to Adobe Reader 9.3.2. (For Adobe Reader users on Windows and Macintosh, who cannot update to Adobe Reader 9.3.2, Adobe has provided the Adobe Reader 8.2.2 update.) Adobe recommends users of Adobe Acrobat 9.3.1 and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh update to Adobe Acrobat 9.3.2. Adobe recommends users of Acrobat 8.2.1 and earlier versions for Windows and Macintosh update to Acrobat 8.2.2.
